Quran Memorisation Programme

The Quran Memorisation (Tahfeedh) programme is the crown jewel of Allahu Akbar International School. As the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: "The best of you (Muslim) is he who learns Quran and teaches others." This hadith is the guiding principle of our school.

Students memorise the Quran with proper Tajweed under qualified and God-fearing instructors. The programme is structured to ensure steady progress, with daily memorisation, revision, and recitation.

We hold termly Quran competitions to motivate excellence and celebrate achievement. Our students have distinguished themselves at the national level, earning 2nd place at the AMIS National Quran competition (Lagos, 2008).

The school motto — "Al Quran Hudan lines" (Q2:185) — affirms that the Quran is guidance for mankind, and our uniform of white over green reflects the Islamic and universal colours that symbolise our faith.
